Greta Neubauer has been working in progressive politics for over a decade and has served as the Assembly Democratic Leader for the last two legislative sessions. During her time in office, Neubauer has pushed for increased access to affordable healthcare and programs to reduce racial disparities in healthcare. She has authored legislation on job creation and democracy strengthening reforms, and provided a strong progressive voice on the Joint Finance Committee during the 2021-22 session. Additionally, in 2019 Neubauer was recognized for her work to protect and enhance labor unions by being named Labor “Person of the Year” by the Racine Labor Council. Neubauer cares deeply about addressing climate change, including leading the introduction of the Forward On Climate legislative package in 2023. She is opposed by Republican candidate David DeGroot.
